What's the difference between mastectomy and lumpectomy?
The choice between lumpectomy with radiation and mastectomy as therapeutic options for breast cancer may be dictated by medical indications or may even be a personal choice of the patient. As more and more studies are done and we gain more knowledge of breast cancer, a final decision should be made upon consultaion.
